The Uganda government is encouraging volunteerism amongst its communities in order to trigger development from the bottom up. By working with local partners, A Broader View is helping to create a lasting impact in these communities. Since the programs that A Broader View Volunteers partner with are run by members of the community this makes for unique advantages for volunteers to gain insight from inside out of a grass roots project. It is true with out adequate governmental and donor support most grass roots programs and other community based organizations are struggling to meet the needs of their communities. A Broader View Volunteers helps us by mobilizing resources to allow us to create awareness and new projects.
Uganda is one of the poorest countries in the world and because of that all our community needs cannot be met by the resources we have.
Hosting A Broader View volunteers, especially those with professional training have a last impact in the education, social welfare and health projects in Bulenga.
